My remote central locking key of my car mitsubishi lancer cedia is not working, what shall i do?

the remote control's battery is new, but i think that the remote control does not send signal to the car to open or close the doors' locking system, or there is a problem with the key programming|||when you replaced the battery, the remote might have lost its memory. The best thing and easiest thing to do is go to a dealership and they can fix it alot faster than you could.|||Trade it in on a Chevy.|||Get rid of that crappy lancer.
