How could I fix the locking problem on my car?

I have just bought a Golf Mark 3 TDI 1996 reg, but the central locking system locks the car whenever the back passenger doors are opened.





Does any know why this might be happening, and if its fixable with my moderate auto repair abilites?!





Thanks in advance|||You door micro switch has gone out. This tells the car or CCM (comfort control module) that the door is closed. The CCM will not let you lock the car with the key, and by pressing the button inside should lock all doors but the drivers. You will need to replace your door lock module.
