Car central locking problem?

is the car central locking covered by the warranty, i have a golf that will be three years old in september is it worth going to the dealer to ask to fix it(one of the doors wont open, from inside or out. works sometimes)|||Hello

Depends what warranty you got when you bought the car Normally a 1 year on the car and 3 years Anti corrosion. In which case it wouldn't be covered by the warranty. If you bought an extended one that extended the car warranty to 3 or more years the yes I would take it back and demand they fix it. And if they say we don't normally do that in the loudest voice you have say Do your cars normally go wrong within 15 months then?

Andy C|||If the warranty covers to this period, then go to the dealer by all means. However, if the warranty has expired, it is just a small electrical component that actually opens the lock, that has ceased working. It is NOT a big job to replace, 2 hours Max, but as for the price of the part, I wouldn't know. I would get it fixed, as there is nothing more annoying than having to work around a fault that can be easily remedy.|||i would suggest you check Your warranty first then contact the company but if they put it down to wear and tear which is most likely what they will do then changing the part is easy as 1 2 3 just tale door panel off un screw the central locking Component and unclip replace and put back together i had same prob with my espace changed both back doors in half hour nice and simple and didn't cost to much either gl

  1. Looks like a pop up tent with one end open. In Phoenix, I stored mine at a resort during construction at my house. Free and secure underground parking. 330ci car covers
