Hi I have a 2003 VY SS Commodore which is giving me central locking problems. When ever i try to lock or unlock the car with the remote, the indicator lights flash and the car arms and disarms the alarm but the doors dont do anything. None of the doors physically lock or unlock. Started this morning.
What might be interesting is that i've had a history of central locking related problems with this car. Started with when i changed the settings from the menu. I turned off two stage unlock so only one press would unlock all doors instead of two presses, after a week of me changing it started playing up by alternating settings on its own, ie. at times two stage would be required and at times only one. (although the menu setting was not altered after this)
Holden then changed the actuator and told me the problem was fixed, but when i got it back, it was set back to two stage unlock. So i drove it home and set it back to one stage unlock and it started going intermittant again. Then after a few days it went completely crazy. Not unlocking or unlocking at random times and sounding the alarm. I took it back, and they then said my window (or window switch or something) was caught on the RHF actuator leads and was playing up. Fair enough as i could hear some sort of paper scraping when i would power down my window. They fixed again and it was set back to two stage unlock.
This time i didnt play around with the stage unlock function and just left it on two stage. The thing i found odd was it was mainly unlocking with one button press while it was set to two stage %26amp; at times, it would unlock with two presses. I used it that was for about a month and this morning when i went to lock my car it started with the current problem i have; flashing the indicators when lock unlock pressed, but not doing anything.|||Defective security module or a software issue with it.
