How to get central locking in my car?
mechanic..|||The cost of it varies from 3000 to 4000. The costlier one would come with reverse music. Me too planning fit one to my car and inquired few shops and this is the info I got.|||go to car dealer of your model - the service dealer, he will upgrade it to the central locking arrangement
My t reg polo has central locking - not remote. it worked well and i locked the car the other night.?
wheni went out next morning the key would only unlock the passenger door. if i went round to the drivers side then it would unlock that one but not all the others. any ideas why|||the locking actuator in the driver door needs to be replaced|||I had the same problem last week in my jetta. Give this a try if you are cheap (like me) and don't want to shell out for a new actuator.
(This is made a lot easier with a Haynes manual)
1) Remove the door panel
2) Remove the door lock positioning element
3) On the top you will see a couple wires going into a switch, the switch needs to come out (this is the door locking micro switch) one contact controls "lock" and the other controls "unlock"
4) Check the conductivity of both contacts with an ohm meter
5) If there is no conductivity when you lightly press either of the switches you found your problem.
6) The switch can be further disassembled to expose the tiny spring contacts, give them a shot a break cleaner then some WD-40
7)Celebrate your savings with a cold beer (Or drink of choice)
This fixed mine and I have had no problems since.

HELP.lock my car keys in the car its a v. corsa and central locking how can i get them out?
Are you anywhere near Glenn Parva Young Offenders Prison because they've got hundreds of youngest willing to help.

If you feel like doing it yourself then a coat hanger between the rubber seal and window pulling in an up and down motion trying to catch the locking mechanism. Or you could get a crowbar an gently ease back the top of the door whilst trying to yank up the door button.|||You obviously haven't got any spare keys for it. If you don't know any car thieves that could help you out then I suggest calling the RAC or AA if you are a member - it's one of the most common things they get called out for|||Haven't you got a spare set of keys???|||Hi,if you are not in the AA break the small window.Good Luck|||call out the AA or RAC if you belong to them or try another vauxhall key or a wire coathanger push it down between window and rubber seal and search for the catch|||Break the smallest window of the car and get it replaced on the insurance! Cheaper than calling a locksmith!|||Its possible to have this car open in 30 seconds without causing damage. you need a thin rod and you need to know what your ..........enough already!! its quicker to call a lock smith or breakdown recovery than it is read this..
Good luck.|||take it to the certain areas in of Liverpool , Manchester or other major cities and "the lads" will have it open in seconds and change its colour to a nice chocolaty brown burnt toast look !!!!!|||excuse me for acting blonde,,
but how the hell did u lock the central lockiing on ure car if the keys are inside it, the only way 2 lock a central locking car is with the remote control or with the key in doorlock. so it is totally 100% impossible to do.????|||silly sod|||No use to you now, but I keep a spare key in my wallet. No plip but just the bare metal bit so I can always get into the car even if it trips the alarm.|||use the spare one. surely you have a spare|||where are you could get in in ten seconds for you with glass sucker or you could try to pop bonnet with long screwdriver then take of battery lead off ten seconds then make contact an quick try to open boot while car resets let me know have other ways too|||Call the AA or break a window!|||phone AA or rac . if your not a member get a friend who is. they need to be with you . get friend to phone AA and say the car belongs to them . you could phone dealer for key no and just get ordinary key cut( corsa uses a transponder key) but you only need non transponder to open doors

Can central locking be installed in my Toyota Echo, and for how much?
My car doesn't have central locking. How much would it cost to install it?|||yes it can it will cost you 250- 500
Will someone please tell me why the central locking range on a car doubles when you put the key to your headp?
i saw this on top gear and was amazed, i need to know the logic to it as i have baffled myself|||Your body becomes a large antenna which extends the signal range of the transmitter....I use to hold my remote start under my chin to get the same effect if my car was parked to far away. Metacafe has a video of how to mod a remote with a small strip of tinfoil too.|||Maybe it's that metal plate in your head acting as an antenna.
I bought a car in a garage but THE CENTRAL LOCKING AND ELEC. WINDOW is broken, but recently passed the mot?
the garage keep promising me they will fix it for me but it taking too much time of waiting. is there anything i can do bout it ? i mean what shall i do ?|||Neither of those things are requred to work to pass an MOT
You should not have accepted the car with the faults - they now have your money and you have a broken car - if they decide not to bother the only thing you can do is get someone else to fix it and then take them to court to try to get a County Court Judgement to force them to pay you. If they are sussed they will know there is no way to enforce such a judgement anyway.|||another shop|||If it was the drivers window not working.thats required to work to pass the mot,where i live,
the central locking does not,write a letter to the manager of the garage telling him you want the window fixed,and your lawyer advised you to do this, keep a copy of the letter give him a week to reply then go see him and be nice,cross your fingers.|||neither item are in an mot ...i own a mot station|||Neither are part of the MOT test.

Central Locking Has Stopped Working On Corsa - Can't Lock Car?
I flattened my battery dead today by leaving the lights on. I got a jumpstart and it started ok, but I did notice a strange whirring noise. Anyway, now I can't lock the car at all. The key goes in, but won't turn at all to the right to centrally lock.
I've checked fuses, which seem ok. Could it have burnt the locking system out? or could it be to do with the battery being flattened?
It's S reg.|||it isnt the central locking system each door has its own motor for locking so they wouldnt burn out at the same time its got to be the battery it sounds like a problem with the altenator which should charge the battery when the engine is running its that or a duff battery wont be that costly|||i flattened the battery on my n reg corsa a few weeks ago, had to drive 30 miles home, with the constant loud shrieking. yes the battery needs to be fully charged before the central locking will work again, a good guide to charging a battery back to full charge, is to ride around for about 30 minutes, and not use anything electrical in the car, this way the battery charges quicker.|||The battery needs to be fully charged for the central locking to work, I imagine it hasnt got enough charge. Lock all the doors individually and put the battery on charge overnight.|||take your car to aUTO ZONE AND THEY WILL CHECK YOUR BATTERY FOR FREE THEY WILL BRING THE UNIT OUT AND HOOK IT UP.ALSO ASK IF THE CCA WHICH MEANS COLD CRANKING AMPS ARE FINE.BE SMART LET THEM DO THE WORK AND FOR FREE TOO.EMAIL ME IF YOU NEED MORE.
